Founded in 1947, Defenders of Whales is a major national organization focused on educating the public, especially children, about marine mammals and the fragile ocean environment. We believe children, the future of the planet, need to be empowered and know that their actions can promote change. Education is the key to saving whales, oceans, and ourselves.

BLACKFISH

Blackfish is a 2013 American documentary film directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite. It concerns Tilikum, an orca held by SeaWorld and the controversy over captive killer whales.
